Lovely

I met this lovely family at the beginning of November – on a crisp, cool fall day.  I usually hold my breath when I schedule sessions in November because I know I’m rollin’ the dice when it comes to the weather.   We lucked out though and had a warm day with beautiful light.  We walked to two different parks near their house to capture these photos and when I saw these trees with the sun streaming through, I got giddy!

I LOVE vibrant colors and I absolutely adore this sweet baby’s outfit (from the Gap, of course).  So I couldn’t bear converting many photos to B&W.  These images just screamed color!

Of course, there are some images where I prefer the simplicity of black and white.  In this photo, I wanted the focus to be on the baby’s expression.  How precious is she – cuddling with mom after the photo session ended?  Makes me melt.
