Welcome to my brand new blog! If you’ve been wondering why I’ve been missing the last two months, this is why! I had so many wonderful sessions in the last two months of 2008 that I can’t wait to share. But I decided I wanted to save them so I can post them here — because the teeny tiny photos on the other blog just weren’t going to do them justice! So get ready for a “post-a-palooza” as I catch up on 2008.
This is a maternity session that I dreamed up. These two gals are cousins and were due on the same day — with boys! So I came up with a location and some ideas that I thought would showcase their pregnancy in a fun, trendy, yet tasteful way. I know not all women are comfortable showing this much skin, but I truly believe the body of a mother-to-be is amazing. And I urge women to embrace it. As I told these gals, I don’t expect them to blow these photos up huge on their walls for all to see, but I hope they’ll be grateful to be able to look back at them and be reminded of the special time in their lives. I know I look back at my maternity photos and marvel at what my body did to create a brand new life. And I hope, now with babes in arms, they do too.
